Bubble Wall Kit: How to Build a Wall Water Features Indoor

Bubble Wall Kit: How to Build a Wall Water Features IndoorAdding wall water features indoor to a wall in your garden is a simple construction project with outstanding results. Build your waterfall on wall with slate tiles or a solid sheet of hand-painted marble, or Plexiglas rocks. You can find all the supplies for your bubble wall kit at your local landscape fountain or home improvement store.

Wall Water Features Indoor: Instructions

  • Determine the height and width of the river rock wall.
  • Take measurements for your local landscape supply store, and they will tell you how many rivers, rocks, and mortar you will need to complete the project.
  • The height of the wall will determine the strength of the pump that you need to purchase. The pond liner is your reservoir and should be at least as wide as the wall.
  • Alternatively, you can buy a plastic sheet sleeve and pool for your wall. This will require additional river rock to be placed around the jacket to keep it immobile.
  • Excavate the ground where the wall will be built. Level the environment as much as possible and remove any grass, rocks, or other debris.
  • Mix mortar and apply a thin coat along the length of the wall.
  • Place the first river stone at one end of the length of the wall.
  • Apply mortar to the side of the stone before putting the next rock in place.
  • Repeat this process to build the first row of the rock. Next, begin to build the wall upward, the river rock on top of the mortar joints of the previous row of stacking so that the wall has more stability.
  • Let the mortar dry before moving on to the next step.
  • Dig a hole to fit the pond liner in front of the river rock wall.
  • Then, insert the lining into the opening. You don’t need preformed liners to be held in place with rocks, as would the plastic sheeting, but you can choose to place river rocks around the front as camouflage.
  • Wrap the fountain pump in a nylon stocking to avoid clogging by debris. Secure the pump to a brick with a rubber band to prevent it from moving around in the reservoir. Connect the plastic tubing included with the pump and place the pump in the pool.
  • Lay the pipe inconspicuously up to the back of the river rock wall and attach the tip to the top of the wall with a small piece of tape.
  • Fill the reservoir with water before starting the pump.

Tips and Warnings:

  • Add a timer to the pump so that the water source runs automatically
  • Electrical cable burial from reservoir pump to an outlet for safety

  • Scrub the clean source of debris and dirt with a nylon brush or natural bristles.
  • Periodically wipe off soapy residue and dirt with a cloth or sponge.
  • Pay particular attention to cleaning the area where the pump is connected to the fountain tank.
  • Wipe the fountain down with a cloth saturated with clean, hot water to remove any soap residue.
